My birth date is 24 February, 1948. I am married and we have two children.
I graduated from the high school Svendborg Statsgymnasium in 1967 and became M. Sc. in Economics from University of Copenhagen in 1973.

Since then I have worked at various places:
1973 - 1974: Secretary, Ministry of Environment
1974 - 1978: Head of Section, Ministry of Economics.
1978 - 1981: Financial and Economic Attaché, the Danish Delegation to the OECD.
1981 - 1998: Assistant and Associate Professor at Department of Economics, Odense University, later University of Southern Denmark, Odense
1998 - 2000: I worked as director, A/S Valdemar Skak (a research and development company)
2000 - : Back as Associate Professor at Department of Business & Economics, University of Southern Denmark.


My teaching responsibilities:

Under the Oecon Study Programmes I teach Velfærdsøkonomi og skattepolitik, Housing and Urban Economics and Labour Market Economics.

Besides this I supervise students’ bach, master and PhD thesis.


Research interests

Everything that moves in an economic way may catch my interest, but in 2005 I was appointed project leader under the Danish Center for Bolig og Velfærd (Housing and Welfare), funded by Realdania and since then my research area has been housing economics.
