Before going abroad
- Make academic agreements with your local coordinator (about courses, credit transfer, etc.)
- Exchange students must return:
1. Application form for studying at the University of Southern Denmark.
2. Application form for accommodation.
3. Arrival form.
-Other students should contact The International Office to apply for enrolment as guest student and apply for accommodation.
- Apply for Visa (if you are not from outside one of the Nordic countries or the European Union).
- Apply for a Danish Residence Permit at the Danish Embassy or a Danish Consulate General in your home country (if you are not from one of the Nordic countries or the European Union). You must apply for and obtain your residence permit before departure.
- Take out insurance (health, third party liability, and travel/luggage insurance).

| Upon arrival
-If you as EU citizen have not applied for a Danish Residence Permit from your home country, go to the local Statsamt to do so now.
- Go to the National Register to be registered and receive a cpr.number (remember to bring your passport and residence permit).
- Contact The International Office to fill in a form for your student card (remember to bring a passport size photo).
- Pay deposit and rent for the first month.
- Individual guest students should contact The Enquiry Office to get a student card. |
| After studying in Denmark
- Leave your home address at The International Office or The Enquiry Office so we can send your certificate or diploma.
